You need to :

  • regain your unique potential and creativity, reconnect with who you are, with your soul

  • feel good in your skin

  • develop a state of easiness in life

  • be more resilient faced with life’s challenges

  • choose another path instead of following the same old life patterns

  • feel free when relating to others

  • feel pleasure and joy to be alive

The mind and body are interconnected.  There is a correlation between mental health, emotional and physical health.
Trauma and stress tend to separate the body from the mind, causing a decrease in the capacity to function well and leading to Dis-ease in the body.  This disconnection from a deep sense of knowing and embodiment leads to feelings of not belonging and to loss of joy or purpose in being alive.

The Biodynamic Psychology approach is wide-ranging, including different techniques working at all levels : physical, energy, emotional, mental and spiritual.

The two main pillars of Biodynamic Psychology are Biodynamic Massage (therapeutic massage which gives direct access to the unconscious mind) and Vegetotherapy (a method which allows the body to speak for itself).

Gerda Boyesen, the pioneer of Biodynamic Psychotherapy (Norwegian Psychotherapist and Physiotherapist) discovered it was possible to influence a person’s unconsious mind and emotions through massage.  Her discovery of « psycho-peristalsis » made the important link between the processes of psychological change and the gut.

It’s body psychotherapy as the body and mind are in constant interaction.  When we are sad or anxious, we might have a « tight throat ».  When we are worried, we have « butterflies in our stomach ».  The therapist looks for the source, the meaning and messages of a current illness or problem (a difficulty in our everyday life or a physiological symptom) and which often comes from a dysfunction from the past, in childhood.

Our voice is the reflection of who we are.  It can make matter vibrate.  Working with the voice can be a powerful approach to open body awareness, to express oneself, to find grounding, to develop psycho-physiological protective boundaries through sound vibration and to access body memories for transformation.

  • To improve your relationships

Therapeutic piano is a powerful therapeutic approach to explore how we relate to others and how this may stem from the ways in which our beliefs were created when we were young.  We may discover a past experience is strongly affecting our life today and limiting our life experience.  A dysfunction in our past can be repaired.   Therapeutic Piano is a bridge between two people, an instrument of mediation and of communication; to help relationships, find our place in life, establish boundaries, be assertive, listen to others, be more open to others, be in the kind presence of  another person « without words ».

  • To access our creativity inside ourselves.

Through a dialogue between you and the therapist, or between parent and child, or between adults or children, where you explore your ability to create together ; this can transform into a moment of unexpected beauty developing in the melody and rythmn.   It’s a unique improvisation.

  • To express our feelings (in a society where we are taught to suppress our emotions)

  • Improve self-esteem and self-confidence

  • Let go of our controlling mind and feel our body’s sensations in the here and now

Biodynamic Psychology includes a unique diversity of Psychotherapy methods from other schools, which are used in a Biodynamic way :  the therapist adopts a welcoming, kind posture, being aware of subtle perceptions and body signals which may appear in the session with a client.

Introjected imagery, family lines, Gestalt, role-play, working with dreams, Biodynamic dance,
embodied speaking, drawing …….

The Therapeutic Relationship
Forming an alliance between therapist and client, where the client feels safe, is essential to the therapeutic process.  It’s working together where the client is active and committed to the process of healing.

I accompany you on this path with confident, protective, kind and unconditional presence.

Biodynamic massage is particularly valuable for :

those with psycho-physiological or stress-related symptoms (headache, aches, anxiety, insomnia, depression, digestive or emotional disorders)

those wanting to embark on a process of self-discovery through a body approach

In this fast-moving society with its pressures, we don’t take time to relax, so the body doesn’t have time to recuperate and our body has lost its natural ability to regulate itself, to come back into balance after stress.  The Autonomic Nervous System (which controls our breathing, digestion, circulation) becomes unbalanced, creating symptoms.

Biodynamic massage helps the body to digest stress, emotions and tension which the body does via the gut, called psycho-peristaltis.  We are looking to stimulate the body’s natural autoregulation with gentle and deep massages.  These massages help to balance, stimulate, soothe, free up or strengthen the body’s life energy : in the muscles, bones, tissues and breathing.

When we are in balance :

we breathe well
blood is circulating well
we digest well
we have energy
we are in a good mood
we can think clearly
we feel confident
we feel joy !!

  • My Experience

My personal Biodynamic journey has opened up joyful and dynamic energy and has given me a deep sense of fulfilment, reconnecting me to my creativity in music and song.

That led to finding joy of being alive and restoring the body’s life force.  It was a path of discovery of myself and my way of interacting in the world.  Stress blocked the free circulation of energy in the body and generated psycho-physiological symptoms and pain, which had a great impact on my  quality of life.

In today’s society with too much pressure, our ability to manage stress, tensions and emotions is often impaired and illness or symptoms are the result.

In Biodynamic Psychotherapy, massage is an integral part of the therapy.  Physical contacct is often forgotten in the West, compared to other Asian cultures where massage is part of daily life.  We are looking to stimulate psycho-peristaltis (neuro-vegetative digestion in the gut) to stimulate the body’s natural auto-regulation process.  Biodynamic massage helps the body to find a balance (homeostasis).

The therapist is looking to connect to and bring out our » true nature « which is often hidden deep inside.  Often, the family systems or environment in our childhood led to defense strategies being created;  showing who we are to the world is too risky.

Today, I feel joy and lightness whilst I accompany others to reconnect to their unique potential and creativity, to regain independent well-being and vitaliy in their body on this earth.

  • What happens in a session?

The session always begins with a conversation about your emotional and physical state.  We work on what presents itself on the day and at the end, there is time for integrating the experience and a short exchange of words.

  • First session

I will ask you questions about why you have come or about your past and establish how we can work together.

It’s advisable to come in loose, relaxed clothes

Benefits of Biodynamic massage may be felt after the first session but more profound and lasting changes take place after a series over a period of weeks or months;  A session usually lasts for 1 hour, although longer sessions can be given.

It is possible to speak in english or french.

A session is 50€ for 1 hour
